Maybe its an old term. All I know is when I vent tankless water heaters I gotta use this special stainless pipe with rubber gaskets at every connection and its very expensive. But its code to use them so what can I say , more mark up for me

I just recently discovered this thread and have been going through it for about an hour. I am speechless. That tank is enormous. Talk about having a dream and going for it 110%. Good luck and I hope everything turns out for the best. Were are you located? I would absolutely love to see this some day.

As for the heating of this tank I think I have a great compromise that I thought of when reading your comments guys, and gals. I'll sketch it up when I have time. For now good night!

Yup and now I'm at work!
Working a lot this week, but in return I'll have 4 days off to work on the tank next week! I will be just under the amount that I would need to buy a 5 gal bucket of the bluemax so I will proceed with just glassing the tank and doing the finish work on it. I have a gallon of fiberglass resin so that should work for the corners of this thing. might have to get another gallon if I do all the cracks between the sheets of plywood. Might be a good idea huh? Luckily there will be good warm weather this weekend. Going to try to get it completely sanded, and stained on the outside. Might try to get a coat of urathane on there also.
