18' x 9' x 3.5' catfish tank build in progress.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh bass, you know you'd get a kick out of telling those people where to go! I'm kinda care free so if anyone objects to the pace of this thread......too bad! ;) I don't see anyone else helping me in any major way. I use this as a psycological boost to my build. You guys cheer me on, and that helps me to get out to the garage and build more. Anyone who is gonna do a tank this size needs to know that if you are doing it all by yourself that it could take a very long time. With limited resources, limited time frame, ect big tank builds will take months/years. Faster way would have been to break down and just do a concrete build with cinderblocks, ect. I'm not as comfortable doing that as I'd like to move one day, and this tank if need be could be sawed up, pulled out and put on a flatbed ect. Concrete=sledgehammer, and refinishing the floor. This is not gonna be my permanent residence as I'm 27yo. I will definitely move sooner or later. This is more of a test to see what I can do. When I move eventually I will build a bigger, better tank! Everyone who has supported this build thank you. I have plans for a second smaller growout tank. There's your answer to finding a new thread. Might be a year after completion of this one though. I will continue to post up periodically in this thread about upgrades, fish entering it, ect.

 I'm shocked... you know me sooo well *sniff*

:irked: No dreamers here... some of us are do'ers, After seeing the harrassment that some people have taken on here... why would anyone subject themselves to hearing "when does the water go in" just to be told by the same people later that "I'm so sad it's over" :screwy:

This is why I just keep my threads going LOL My 800 was full on page 30. The thread was 150 sum pages... Then the glitch happened so I started part two! LOL

I'd gladly fufill this request if you send me approximately $308.98 for the blue max sealant!:D

Post your pay pal and I will give you ten bucks then you only need 30.9 people to do the same and it will speed up this process. Plus for some reason I thought you were in your 40's, props to you going huge at 27. Now the question is what are you gonna build when you are in your permanent residence and more established in life.

That's very generous! I did get one other donation from my buddy redtailnobs=$50. We also gather scrap metal to recycle for this build.:headbang2 My paypal is like permanently locked because I forgot the password, and I can't remember the address, or phone number from when I created it like 10 years ago. lol. Here's my wife's though

Anyone who wants to donate any money I greatly appreciate it. You will be mentioned in the special credits after the build is finished!;) I'm not asking for it, but hey if you're generous enough to help out I can promise that your money will be used specifically for this build, and the filtration for it.:D

I wanna donate! is $25 enough insentive to finish the build?

wow, really? You guys are the best! If you guys honestly want to donate then just send me a pm and let me know. If there's anything left over when I'm finished I will donate it to MFR(monster fish rescue).:headbang2

Yeah! I'm willing to kick in another $10 myself. This will be the future home of Small Block my RTC also!!! Can't wait to see it filled, and I'm gonna swim in it with Necro when it's finished!(bannana hammocks and all!) Donate an extra $10 to keep us clothed!

Hey guys, it's comfirmed. I now have $25 in my paypal! Thanks to whoever that was. I'm guessing it was you puff? I really appreciate it. Also redtailnobs just gave me another $10.

So total donations to get this thing finished so far are

$35.

Thanks guys! Because of this I've been inspired to put the MFK logo on the side of the tank!
