  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
how many neon tetras do you think this tank could hold???

lets see 18' x 9' x 3.5' = a lot of gallons = 4000 tetras

1 inch per gallon right

WOW 4000 tetras..

that would be a sight. how long before there gone with the monster cats you have.

Don
Would last 2 weeks in my house... I have Pigs!! LOL Just Lastnight I did a feeding with some sea food medley and just intended to give everyone a "treat" well it was 3 lbs later that everyone finally had their fill :irked: seems it was more than a treat... but it was fun to watch every single one of my cats Blow up to twice the Normal Fatty belly

So what would 4000 tetras weigh.... divide that by 3lbs per day and thats how long they would last in my tanks ... 21 pounds per week :WHOA:

And they ALL Love Feeders So I'm sure they would wipe those out real QUICK!!

shame i want a large id shark but can never find 1 and close aswell lol

I know where there's 2, but the owner won't give them up. They are 15 years old, and one is 22", and the other is 18". Kinda sad. My biggest is 9" and only about 8 months old.

I'm doing an oriental style tank so probably more than 4000 lol. I'd probably stuff about 20,000 in there.

Not long! Like basslover said mine can easily eat 3 lbs of food per night if I wanted to feed them that, but there's no point! I'd say less than a week cause there will always be those squirly few that get away.

Ditto!;) My big boy could wipe out 2 lbs of those himself if he were hungry enough.

Oh, and here are some pics. I just put up some more of the top inside frame which now makes the tank completely connected all the way around. I just need to finish the last wall still, but I've left it open as a small doorway, but now it's pretty much useless so I'll enclose it sometime soon. So now I am a few dozen screws closer to being finished. So that you guys don't have to dig back ten pages(litterally) I've reposted one of the pics for comparison. That's how it started today, and the rest are where I'm at now! Enjoy!:headbang2

Hmmmm, coming along nicely there, necro ^^ The frame is done!!

How about an update on your beasties in transit?

PS: oscar petting pond lol i got one given for free to me (albino) - very cute ....no one even 'sniffed' him out lol but with the beasties growing one never knows

how many litres do you will use to paint it to make it water proof?

if you want interestin put 4000 Cons in there and wait a month then put the cats in. if there are hiding places then you may end up with an interesting balance where the cons would survive and breed possibly making a snack food base for the cats.
