Ive spent a lot of time in MT, mostly in the winter. I love the snow and ice. but i also never knew wood was so cheep up there.

Yes Montana is very beautiful during the winter, but bitterly cold lol. Wood is ok priced, but last year when I had planned out this thing, and did my pricing the studs that I am using now were only 99 cents each. Now they are $1.50 each. That's quit a hike in the price in just a year. It's due to the gas prices. Funny thing is that plywood prices are relatively the same, but lumber is about %50 more than this time last year.

I hope I don't run out of money. I'd have a lot more progress done if I didn't have to keep comming up with money. THis time I made some money from a guy wanting another skeleton done, and also I have a contract cleaning an aquarium for a casino now. It's not that big, but hey it gets me $30 every time I clean it. As stated before probably going to be starting to give plasma next week. Did the math and if I had been giving plasma this whole time I'd have enough money that on top of what I already have I'd have this thing almost completely bought up in supplies. Anyway, I have a fish rescue to do today, and I get some free glass that I am going to use to finish the 200 gal tank. So I don't know that I will make any progress on the big tank today, but I will hopefully make it out to get the rest of the lumber today. I have $200 that I can spend. YAY

Pics from today in a min. I added another 3 full rows bringing me down to needing to add 2 more. That includes the end row that is basically a wall. I'll have to buckle down and make that wall tomorrow so that I can get this thing on the ground. I didn't get any more supplies, but I did get a few boards from redtailnobs!!!! Thanks buddy! Going to take my $200 and get the rest of the wood needed for this project. Hope you guys enjoy the pics from today. Oh, on top of the three rows I added the last full piece of ply on the bottom, and put in a few more of the bottom feet. I need to get some more of these boards to go on the bottom, and then it can go on the ground after the paint dries! Hopefully all of the major hardware stores will be open tomorrow.

On top of what I did to the tank today I also rescued two 13" oscars and a 20" plecostomus from a 55 gal tank, and also got the tank, heaters, pumps, ect. Enjoy the pics and hopefully in the next set it will be on the ground.

Oh the boards in the tank from the back picture is all that's left to bring the tank to it's final length, but I still have to cut a bunch more for the back wall. I have some of what I need, but will have to get some more also.

Spent about $400 total so far, and plan on spending another $200 tomorrow. Would like to have it done by the end of next month, but I can tell I will not have the funding availible to finish it by then. Light$300+another pump$150+sealant$300+glass$500=$1250. So I need to raise around $1300 to complete this. I estimate that I will only be able to raise around $410 by the end of next month, which would push the completion date to around late december. Pretty much just me gathering funds, buying something, then a big pause until I can get funds up for the next thing. So next I probably should get the light, and then the sealant so that I can seal this thing, but then I'll have to save for almost 2 months to get enough for the glass, and who knows how long it will take to ship in. Makes me sad. If I had known about the plasma center in town earlier I could have had this thing finished by the end of summer. Going to try and win some more tank cleaning contracts, and hopefully some more people will want skeletons.

That price tag doesn't include buying plumbing, rocks, heaters, or more biomaterial. Add around another $800 for that. Hoping my total bill will come out to around $2700. Not bad for close to 4000 gals. If lumber prices went down with gas prices hopefully I can get more bang for my buck tomorrow.

Me too. Just depends on how fast I can raise the money lol.

Going out in about 3 hours to get the last of the lumber. Going to call around and price out the cheapest good quality stuff.
