When your paid on a salary and they make you work extra hours constantly it's not worth it since your wage never changes I've been there and done that... refuse to work on salary anymore

same here. I had weeks where I never saw anyone outside of work and didn't get paid a penny more for it. and when I resigned they couldn't figure out why. the next job I was making the same money and only worked 7 days in 2 weeks. and overtime was whenever you wanted it and not manditory and got paid for it I felt like I died and went to heaven.

When I was working in the corp world I was putting in 70+ hours a week, now I do 40 and make the same so it really came down to work life balance. I wouldn't change anything as it really showed me a great lesson about the "real" world since I jumped on the job right out of school and at the time was way more money than I should have been earning at the time, But that eventually leads to being taken advantage of by a company so yeah... anyway I left there and started my own company

Really hoping that I can get some work done on the tank this weekend. I'll be trying anyway. Something will get done if I can help it. Put in 50 hours so far this week and still have tomorrow to go yet. Too much going on, and I've been away from the house so much that my fish are suffering. Lost the jau.......

The man is trying to make a living but hasnt got the balance right yet, It will take time to get it right and any casualties along the way can be put down to experience and hopefully be rectified in the future.

Bummer Necro... you need to get your water system down and quick... automatic water changes (as I am sure thats why you lost the fish)

When your away from you tanks for extended periods it sure does give you some peace of mind while your away. Feedings can always be handled by your wife or Redtail

Damn... that sucks about the Jau... your bad luck with them is making me wonder if I should continue my search for one or not LOL (I WILL have one... or 5 )
