As I said before I took out 2 male cutteri to try and quiet things down a little; but that backfired. When it was 3 males and 2 females they chased each other all the time and never breed. With only 1 male and 2 females a pair formed and they've been breeding and causing trouble. One of those males I gave away the 2nd went in with the festae. After a few weeks at the hands of the festae I put the male cutteri back in the 180. He's war torn and battle hardened and is kicking the crap out of the other male. I want to add another male to the 180 as that seemed to keep them from breeding and dispearsed the aggression amongst them. As I expected, breeding cutteri are just too mean in a community tank.

I was trying to catch the cutteri female to keep her from breeding. The white con and HRP ran in and started eating the fry. I think by the time I grabbed the camera he was eating pellets or I uploaded the wrong video

Do you plan on moving the cutteri, or are you going to leave them in the tank and see how they do?

I added a 2nd male and so far that has stopped the breeding. I don't think it will last, I want to add another male. It seems the 3m -2f ratio kept them busy with each other so they didn't breed.
Unexpected turn of events last night. It looks like the fire mouth and one of the passiones have paired up in the center of the tank. I don't know how to sex these guys, the 2 passiones look the same to me. I tired to get some video of them flaring at each other with the black gills but they stopped by the time I grabbed the cam.
I have a leak in my bathroom and need to replace a valve, but need to turn the water off in the house and the valve to do that is behind this tank. So, I have to drain and move this sucker about a foot from the wall. I think when I do that I'm going to grab one of the those pesky female cutteri sluts and the firemouth. The cutteri are just too good at defending fry, after 3 weeks the convicts loose theirs. I need this stump to sink so I can finish the aquascape.
