It's a really cheap, heavy duty stand, there are pics somewhere on the forums about how it's built, they're glued together with wood glue I believe.. It has supports under it, it's made by 4x4's. It's perfectly safe.

Cool, thats good to know! I dont even think they would need to be glued together! This is good to know, as big tanks being sold without stands is one of the things that has been keeping me from upgrading. Thanks.

Nothing should keep you from upgrading :). The stands that come with 180+ gallons are horribly made, so my dad and I created our own.
 
dude i feel you on the stand. i cut and built mine out of wood. lol but i think the terrarium im going to build will be out of cinder blocks and plywood.

Yeah, it's a fast, easy, cheap, reliable way to create a stand.

LOL, my dad already wants me to get two nice large Cichla for the 180 and that's it. I told him to find me a male and female mono or Orino and I'll do it lol.

The cinder block stand is cool... gives it that real "monster" look if you ask me, can't wait to se it stocked. :)
