Is this possible? Give me some of your guys and gals feedbacks.

Yes it's possible... all sorts of bad ideas are possible...

I've seen TONS of people start tanks like this... But for some reason I just don't see them two years later posting that it worked out in the long run... I wonder why...

I hope you enjoy your fish... although it's quite obvious that your fish won't be enjoying themselves. But to some people that doesn't matter...

I can see a lot of banged up fish and ick outbreaks and cloudy eyes but if thats what you want go for it. Personally I like my tanks understocked but to each his own.

if your filter is good enough i saw go for it....worse case scenario....you have to move some fish lol

It could be a lot worse. I would say put a little money aside each month as they grow then trade up for a bigger tank.

do it... if it doesnt work, it doesnt work... if it does, great for u

hell... I have an oscar and midas in a 20 =/

and a pair of EBJDs in a 20...

but i am also getting a 75 very soon but even then it will be highly overstocked so i will prolly have to get rid of the oscar and midas

I would also like to mention that my locality is "USA" so how the heck am I gonna get an Asian aro? What a noob! :screwy::screwy:
Long Boy, find me one and I will buy him from you! Is that a deal?

dude wtf? where did i say asian aro?:screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy: and come on, 5 blacks that will get over 30" in a 180? you wanna do overstocked great, but atleast use either more smaller fish or a bigger tank so they can atleast stretch out.

USA or not asian aro's are around, not too hard to find. why not use leichardti aro's, closest thing to a legal asian in the states.

Thank you Bluehairman! As you can see, some of us don't read what I write and just blow things out of proportion.
I do have a large enough wet dry filter that is capable of 30+ gallons of bio ball and pumps 1200 gallon p/hr so I'm thinking that it may just do the job in this case.

All I really wanted was some encouraging words on how an over stocked tank.

dmopar74, I was referring to Long Boy about the asian aro, not you bro. Leaving this post in a good note, I do apolagize to everyone if I ticked them off including Long Boy.

Thank you all! Have a nice day!

IME, your filter isn't the weak point. It's easy enough to filter an overstocked tank. I have 2 gallons of bioballs and 20lbs of gravel that keep my 120gal monster tank all nitrates and no nitrite or ammonia, BUT, there is a lot of nitrate that can only be addressed with waterchanges. I had an algae scrubber for a while, but I had to clean it daily, so I got rid of it and went back to more water changes.

All the flames aside... those fish will look good in that tank for 1 or 2 years maybe. Once they are 24 inches or more (if they live that long.) They will likely be battle scarred, drop eyed, gill curled messes. Water quality is only part of the problem - those fish startle easily and jump powerfully, so if you get 5 together, they will constantly be injured. Japanese style overcrowded tanks like that are usually done with slightly more stable and less agressive fish. Go ahead and get five, but I agree with whoever said buy a bigger tank down the road. 5 big black aros will cost you a lot more to replace than buying a larger tank will.
