FS: 180 gallon acrylic tank 6' x 2' x 2' with wood cherry/mahogany stand in great condition - all the seams are in excellent condition no hazing, no stress/cracking lines. Selling only tank, covers/lids, wood stand and standard 4' shop light. 2 people can easily move this set up around. It has one hole drilled in the back, on the left side, for overflow. I can help provide transportation if you pay for mileage. Asking 600 USD.

Located in Lincoln Square, Chicago. Tank is currently up and running. I am looking to upgrade to a 360 gallon tank so this one is up for sale. Below is a picture taken of the fish in the tank to give you an idea of the tank. Serious inquiries only, if you are interested in the tank you should see it in person. I will not respond to emails requesting additional pictures of the tank.

Thanks.

That rules me out , I am looking for a 180 and I would drive 100 miles to Chicago for a good deal but not before i see it. GLWS

Mihn is legit.... IF he says it's worth it I'd take the trip. The man has been around many years.

IF you're willing to pass over pics then it's only your loss. There are so many tire kickers on this site I don't blame him for not wanting to waste his time.

Maybe I need to make another Chicago trip....... AGAIN......

I may be having a problem, but I don't see the picture you say is posted. Could you repost the picture you mention above? I live in the area, a little over an hour north.

Thanks,

John

I'm with you on the tirekickers and I trust that Mihn may be legit...But it is more than reasonable for people who don't know you or him to request a photo before traveling, getting a truck/van, or whatever else one might need to secure the sale/transaction.

It is difficult to sell to strangers without pictures. This site would not be the site it is if not for pictures. Mihn has his prerogative but requesting pics/posting pics is customary for selling things at a distance. Totally a fair request.

If I had the loot, I'd request pictures:D. Good luck with your sale.

Keep in mind the cultural differences, based on his name, I am assuming he is Vietnamese. It's customary to do business this way, no questions answered unless you show up. Lucky you even got 1 photo.

Good luck on sale.

But we are not in vietnam. And this is not a 100% Vietnamese site. Furthermore, I know several Vietnamese "personally" on this site who ALWAYS request photos and also provides them when requested. So it seems at least some Vietnamese transact business the way many other ethnic groups do here in the United States of America when they are conducting business transactions via the web. So in my estimation, you and/or whoever may also need to take into consideration cultural differences when transacting business via a "US-based" internet forum.

Bump for what "sounds like" a really nice tank.

Let me ask this question related to my previous post.

Can anyone see the picture that has been posted? I can't.

This why I have asked for a repost of the picture. I am interested in the tank & have the cash, but because of the round trip time of about 2.5 hours, I'd at least like to see what is being offered before I make the trip.

Thanks,

John

Cultures aside, its still up to the seller what information he wants to provide. If buyers doesnt like it, then they can move on.
