180 Gallon Amazonian Rebuild

Well, I came down to look at the tank and there was water everywhere! I forgot to check the overflow's siphon and turns out it had broken. 
I have been downstairs for the last 2 hours cleaning water. Luckily, dad's home and he's gonna help me fix the siphon. BTW, I'm gonna try out the oscar in this tank so here's hoping he's peaceful.

Cant wait to see this one finished.. I am considering an amazonian theme tank when I set up my 250 plywood build.
Glad you went with the PFS over the quickcrete. I use both in amazon tanks with geos and the quickcrete is a little too small particle wise but looks better IMO. Honestly a flagtail is not a good idea with any rays. What species of geos are you planning to add?
Good thing dad made the whole floor tile downstairs. I am very happy with how it's coming though. Went to the LFS and got some new light bulbs, some chlorine remover, and a heater for the tank. They have a whole room in the back dedicated to monsters and discus. A 2 foot TSN is $80 and a 1ft. Iridescent Shark is $40. Full grown oscars are $50, pacus are $40, and a baby reticulated stingray is $90. The 180 gallon is at 76 degrees, but as soon as it gets to 79 degrees, I'm gonna try a small fish ($0.10 Feeder Goldfish) to make sure that the bleach is gone. If it's safe then I'll toss the feeder in my 20 gallon pond by the door (I have a 40 gallon pond, a 20 gallon pond, and a betta bowl along with all my tanks.
Got home from the store and the filter pipe had broken off the back of the overflow. 
I just finished cleaning up all the water the pump in the sump ejected onto the floor (30 gallons). Dad took the overflow off and we are looking at how to fix it (I'm hoping we don't have to buy a new one).
