Would a 6x4 tank be good for life?

Well I had a 6'x4' and believed that it would be to small. Sold it and bought the 8'x3'x30". Figure the added length is needed.

Well he is already over 2 foot and seems very calm at the moment.

He has plenty of space at the moment and even when he grows another foot or more i cant imagine him being that cramped in there he swims really slow.

my 27" silver is in my 6x2.5x2.5 and i feel it is too small. I would sacrifice 6" in depth for another 2' in length. go with 8x2x2 minimum.

right now all i got is 2 x 55 gallon and a 5 gal sick tank... need to wait bout 10 months before getting one as big as you guys 180's

hmm i can see how you may want a longer tank..

but my 6x4 is equal to a 12x2 and i know which one i would rather?

Has jus as much space but more room to turn?
