  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
250 is not as bad as i thought itd be lol. Well i think ill get two then. Are them some vendors on here you'd recomend? And if they go out are they pretty easy to get parts for?

+1, the FX5 is a workhorse with about 600 GPH filled with media, and it turns itself off for 2 minutes every 24hrs to clear itself of micro bubbles, then automatically starts again. I have one on my 125 with a 2217 and cascade 700. Excelent quality, I got mine with a pack deal on amazon.com for 270$ shipped, good deal.. Definitely get 2!

2 FX5, hands down

If money is not an issue get yourself a Eheim 2260 or 2262. The fluval is a nice filters but the Eheim are in a class of there own. Mine have been running for 15 yearsr and no problems. I have gone thru several Fluvals, but I have not had any problems with my FX5. Also if you are looking into HOB filters get the AquaClear 110 power filter for 180 gal tank. By the way the Eheim 2262 simply has a more powerful pump than the 2260. Check out BigAlsonline.
