180 gallon filtration suggestions

Instead of $150 for a new sump, how about looking for a used sump for $60-$80? DIY would work too but will require time to run to store for supplies and puting it together. In the end, are you really saving yourself that much time and expense with a diy?

Others might disagree with my opinion and that is ok. I am not handy and experienced like DIY King so I rather not attempt to build complex sump.

Personally I would look for a used one at a good price first. Already a plug and play... well after you plug the pump in :)
If nothing g good available I would build one as they seem to be a little expensive new. I do like being able to see through the sides though, but I am sure I am the minority on that.
I would also run a canister, but again I may be the minority on that also. Fx5/6 or comparable.
