180 gallon fish setup

Hey guys,

New to MFK. I just picked up my 180 gallon 6 foot behemoth today, will be cycling it for the next 2-3 weeks using the bacteria in the bottle method.

Oce I get it set up, this is the combination of fish I would like in the tank. i will purchase them all as babies together, let me know what you think:

1 Tiger Oscar
1 Red Terror (Female Festae)
1 Green Terror
1 Jack Dempsey
1 Black Knife Ghost Fish
2 Firemouth
2 Bala Shark
3 Clown Loach

I know its an aggressive setup, but the idea is to get them as babies and see if they can co-exist peacefully/semi-peacefully. Any trouble makers will have to get traded at the LFS. :)

I would get more Loaches and one more green terror. When gterrors get big they really have nice colors that stand out. And welcome to MFk.
 
Hopefully the red terror doesnt mess everyone else up! I also recommend getting more clown loaches.
 
Thanks for the input guys.

I will go with the festae if I can get one locally. Is it possible to sex them positively from an early size? Really want a female red terror. If it does prove to be too aggressive for the tank I will ship it out to the LFS and replace it with a red/albino oscar or another green terror. Does anyone know anyone selling female festae on the north coast of new south wales australia??

As for some more clown loaches, I agree. Will update the list to 5. :D
 
The Knife fish will struggle in that set up, i have lost 2 to convicts that are smaller!

I knew the female festae would be just too damn aggressive. Probably be difficult to get as well. But god I'd love one. :(

Are there any other cichlids/ fish that you would recommend for this tank that would look great and work with the aggression level. Just throw out some names and I'll have a look.

Filtration is an Aqua One CF 2400 with each layer filled with ceramic noodles. Anyways let me know what you think of the list. Don't want to overstock the tank, only want to be doing water changes every fortnight. Anyways, feedback!! Thanks :)
