This is how I fixed the outward bow: 
an 18" strip I bent at each end and screwed into place. Voila!
Last but not least- the trim.
I measured 1.5" from the top edge and made a line. About every foot I drilled a hole just about as big as the screw threads to secure from the inside of the canopy outwards and pull the trim to the canopy. Once this was finished, I laid down a hefty bead of glue and screwed it in place.


Then to the sides, I had to get creative with the mounting cause the inner side has another piece to go through. So I took some longer deck screws and shortened them.

What do you guys think? So far I'm satisfied- don't even want to look at it today- A little sanding, stain and urethane and I'm all done!
