hey just wanted some experianced pearsei owners to help a little. A lot of the info I have read on pearsei say they get to 17". If this is the case I wonder if 5 will be to many in my 180, I'm also looking for some thorichthys aureus to keep with them as tankmates... probably a pair of them. I do not have the 180 set up right now... but that's only a month or so away. I do have the 5 pearsei with the largest being about 8" and the smallest around 5". These guys are currently in a 125 with a few other tank mates. So what do you think? 5 too many or should that be cool? I have never kept these before and I can see they like to grow. I have had these guys for about 4 or 5 months now and of course they are all growing at diffrent rates... oh and figure before anyone asks I plan of running a ehiem 2180, and using sand as a substrate. Puting a few large rocks here and ther through out the tank... and setting up an area where several large to medium rocks produce a refuge for the thorichthys if they need to get away from the pearsei.... let me know please, and thanks in advance.
