I have a school of filament barbs in with my Fahaka. She hates the activity and just stays the hell away from them, usually buried in the sand. They are going away in the next few days. BTW, Fahaka like to bury themselves so use a dark sand in a deep bed. I have 100 lbs in a 4X2' tank. This is also the smallest tank footprint you should consider. You will need several colonies of marbles to feed it after it is a year or so old. I am going to order 30 lbs of live crawdads when they come back in season and freeze them individually because I can't keep up. I am going to need to trim my gals beak from not enough hard food. Also, some puffers will eat pellets. My Mbu competes with my aro for pellets. I don't feel they are hard enough to keep the beak in check. Good luck. They are very personable fish. (When they don't have crazy active fish bothering them)
