  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
And this is why I tell people to get a uv

If they are big enough for the tank with the right flow rate and left turn on 24/7 the results are great

WOW! HUGE Improvement Lol:)

I recently removed my uvc to cut down on power and time, no green water and it's been a few months, I don't have parasites or ick in my display tank so it was basically useless to run.

Until somehow something goes wrong....how do you think ick gets there in the first place?

All fish are carriers of ick and stress brings It out! Luckily I give my fish the best when it comes to wc and vac, I constantly test my water and log it. So I don't have to rely on a uv to stop an outbreak! And I never add fish or anything like that, my shoal has never had it and never will!

I like to practice PREVENTION instead of relying on a uv to ward of parasites which a uv wont even get rid of ick!

I know there are many benefits to a uv but not for my application, never have algae and never add any fish although the added flow is good but with an fx5, ac110 and 1200gph circulator in a 90 I don't think I need more flow

I have never seen a ray with ick have you

you said you turned off your UVC you should have been using a UVS

you turned it off to save power most UVS are less than 25W but you said you had a UVC so that must have been 18w or less that must have saved you oooooooooooh $10 per year you should turn off all your filters that will save you some yen lol

whats the point in loging test results you need to know what the parameters are when you test not what they were last year
