Got my FX5 and my dual 300W heaters running. Now she gets to cycle while I search for fish to stock her with.
I know it is considered debatable, but I'm really looking forward to putting a jardini in there. I was hoping for a tank mate or two, but I know it's risky.

Anyways, just wanted to share. Decorations coming soon.

I like the simple look, what's going in there?

Thanks. I'm searching for a small tree stump for a centerpiece.

As for what's going in there, a jardini is on the list, and now I'm thinking bichirs as well.

I remember when I thought My 180 was Huge. Do Jardini with Bichirs, raise them together and hope for the best

Never thought to include bichirs for some reason. It does make sense, as long as no one eats their tank mate. I have thoroughly enjoyed raising my Senegal bichir, so it would be cool to try my hand at raising one of the larger species.
I had originally hoped for a clown knife, but I'm pretty sure that will outgrow my tank eventually.
Thanks for the idea!

Looking good! How did you create the black back wall, or is the back wall of the tank black?

Also, how will you cycle the aquarium?

Ya add rocks or drift wood. Couple tall fake plants or what would look great.

I painted the back with latex paint. Not a perfect job, but it turned out ok.

I just picked up a large piece of driftwood for the centerpiece too. Pics after I get it cleaned up and out in the tank!
