How do you know that its not just some defection in the bottom trim of the tank and that it will flatten out when full of water. If the floor is level, and the stand is level, and everything is shimmed appropriately fill the tank and see what happens.
I seriously doubt the LFS inspects every tank and stand that comes into the store with that much detail. When I bought my new 180 and stand the tank was still wrapped in cardboard and shrink wrap which would of made it impossible to tell if there was a gap between the tank and the stand. Unless i wanted to unbox and unpack everything in their showroom.
