Do you have any experience with festivum Robin? I think they'd be a decent mesh for some of the more heavy discus angel tanks. They school nicely and grow to a size that wouldn't be threatening to them, and they aren't aggressive eaters in my experience. They aren't the most colorful but they might provide a more substantial schooling experience than tetra and the like. I think you might appreciate them, I am a bit curious if you will see better schooling behavior out of your discus with them around.

I did consider them but am concerned that their aggression will be enough to change the discus behaviors. I've read of them dive bombing discus and keeping them nervous and didn't want to risk it. I was going to experiment but I don't find them attractive enough to warrant since I more festivum is one less angel or discus.

That being said, I now have all 3 angel species
Leopoldi, Altum, and Rio Nanay Scalare. I just need Manacapuru and I'm done.

I really liked the way you arranged the dw.
My only critique, and its a personal preference thing, is that I find the rocks to be placed too symmetrically (evenly spaced and in a straight line) placed, instead of randomly "arranged" like you find it in nature

I agree 100 percent. The rocks are too much in a straight line. The issue is that the rocks actually hold the wood structure in place. I'm trying to find a better solve and will play around with it some more. That center piece that holds the structure in place can slide forward at the base bringing the whole thing down. I am looking for a flat piece of wood I can slide between the base and the glass and than bury with gravel to hide the stone. The same thing for the stone just right of center that holds in the wood pillar on the right.

Maybe you could use smaller rocks or peices of slate and cover them with sand.

Either ways it lookes better than anything i could have done lol
