180g GG setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok. ive also heard that clown loaches and angelfish are good tankmates. and sometimes tetras and etc. but you have to add them when the GG is a juvenile. less chance of becoming dinner.

ive heard their ok when young but start fighting each other when they get big ive only ever seen one adult per tank, except in london aquarium they have 4 in a massive tank with mbu puffe,r clown loach, a fire eel, asian aro's and a shoal of big tinfoil barbs

ive seen an adult GG with tinfoil barbs as well, and an ornate bichir. maybe some tinfoil barbs and pictus cats.

do alot of people really keep their silver arowana in a 180g tank for life like ive seen in alot of pictures?

I have two Oscars in with my GRFG and two Common Pleco . Currently in a 100Gal soon to be moving into a 240Gal tank in a few months and theyare all fine with each other , apart from a little pushing at feeding times .

might be doing gar if i can in that same tank. dunno yet, finding that out atm.

yeah the gar is a no go. so still searching for suitable GG tankmates. pacu? they get large, and they keep to themselves, might be good tankmates since they get large.

I have seen GG with large oscars and other SA/CA cichlids, ghost knives, clown knives, almost anything that stays on the bottom of the tank.

Arowanas can work but my pink GG killed my silver aro at similar sizes. He is now with SA and CA cichlids.
