kind of lens you using for that fisheye result?

Its deceiving, but hardly a fish eye at all. I'm using an 18-55IS Canon lense with retractable hood. I like shooting with it with fish as it does a number to deflect glare and reflections and draw in as much light as possible.

thats cool, i have a canon also. how do you get some of the pics to come out wide angled like the first one, maybe its the glass making that illusion

You got it. I was shooting without a tripod this session so I was pacing back and forth, stalking the fish I wanted to shoot. Sometimes the effect worked in my favor, and other times is didn't (as visible in the ~40 pics that went right to the recycle bin).

go for it i was gonna go for marine photoghraphy but money was a bit tight

That's exactly how aquatic photography works lol 1 out of 100 would be good results. Keep up the good work.

This is just a hobby for me. My intentions are never to make money. The same can be said for the photography-side of things. I love being able to capture fish in their true nature, free from camera-related speed bumps. The first shot in this series is probably the best pic I've take to date.

I'd love to add a widebar to this tank :) . Widebar, armatus, aro, few more endlies, few more cichla, and I'm done with it.
