Yea I thought about it, but I don't think I was to ship a fish this large though. Anyone had any experience shipping fish 18+ inches long? Perhaps if I hear some positive stories about large fish and mail I'll figure out the shipping costs for him.

So having a tank that pretty much only has 1 fish as the centerpiece doesn't keep my gf's interest at all, haha. I'm growing some stuff out in my 60 gallon, so we're going to just move all the livestock from the 60 to the 200, and give the 60 gallon to my sister who's going to be starting the hobby.
Mostly a space issue though, our bedroom is like 50% fish tanks, we don't even have room for a TV.
He is a great fish though, really healthy and energetic. I joke that the only thing that can kill this fish is a bullet in the head.
I'll have an arowana again, when I live in a bigger place.
There are plenty of people in your neck of the woods who could buy your fish. I wouldn't ship...too risky with a fish like that...especially in the heat of the summer.
