Hi Hasi

Please look at the first page, I have posted a few pics of the overflow setup as well as the sump.

The clear 'bottle' looking connection is actually a check valve (the exact name is true union swing check valve) which prevent water flows back in the event of power down.

Hi Xichlong

I have gone through all the photos champ, the reason I asked for the extra pics is because I would like to set something up like this in the future

Thanks anyway and fantastic work and fish

That is some looking sump. I guess all that work pays off as your tank is crystal clear, nice build!

Great looking sump with a truck load of great biomedia in it.
The only issue I have with the sump is the media in some sections may be hard to get out as it isn't placed inside filter bags.
A sump like that anyway might only need to be broken down every 2yrs away to clear out excess mulm and assist water flow.

What did the tank run approximately to build?

Thanks for your comment.

I did place Jap Matt on top of the media as well as cotton wool on top of the Jap Matt to catch the debris. These cotton wool will be replaced every 3 months or when need be.

This whole project cost me roughly AUD $4k. The most costly component is the glass itself, I use starfire glass for the front panel.

To Hasi - The check valve I purchased from Singapore as there LFS in Sydney carry this in stock. Also, the weir is a combination of Overflow and Underflow.
