How much wattage Am I going to need to heat my 190g?

I am thinking 2 Hydor Theo 300 watt heaters, cuz I have one on my 90g and it works great. I am going to have the heaters in the tank becuase I will not have a sump. The filters I will be using are 2 AC110's, 1 Mag350, and 1 AC70 powerhead. ( should be enough)

Also how good is Amquel +(spelling) for a water declor? I am thinking abt switching to that instead of Tetra Aquasafe, becuase I can buy it by the gallon. :D

Id say your pretty well set with the Equipment your using.

Is the tank acrylic or glass. I prefer Prime over Amquel. More bang for your buck.

I SAY WET/DRY

I too would suggest prime. 3 capfulls should do it. That stuff is potent and not too expensive.

Oh, and for the heater, I am running one Stealth 250w in my 120 reef. It works great. The temp. never changes.

A old school math explanation.

2 watts to raise 1 gallon 5f above room temp so you need to figure how cold the room is likely to get and figure from there.

yeah I agree... But I already have the filters running on my 90. In the future I might get a wet/dry or the Eheim pro 3.

 That's what I use on my 220 gal. Great filter! Super power!

2-3 watts per gallon in an average temperature room is plenty, your 2 heaters should work fine.
