I was in my 2nd year in the Navy. Stationed in San Diego. Driving a '69 302 mustang. Went out on my 1st WestPac and visited Hawaii, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Hopefully there's some little Oddballs running around in the PI.

I know there's most likely little Egon, Polish, tall, blond, goodlooking, 20 somethings, in the PI, Thailand, and Hong Kong......... Good times Cheers to Veterans Day!

My dad was 12 years old. That's about all I can contribute.

Typical Navy : No stories, really nothing but the "job" ..... "watch", "Port/starboard" LOL Love it. All I hire is Navy "Nukes" because they can stand watch And, of course, they are the smartest. I will give them that! Navy Nukes are the smartest, by far, of any U.S. military carrier field.

When I saw this I was expecting a terrible cover of the Smashing Pumpkins version but this was somehow worse. I shoulda known that would happen with Good Charlotte.

Nope. Not torpedoes. FC means fire control of surface and air ordnance. The second C is for Chief (E-7). The sw designation means surface warfare specialist and mts denotes master training specialist.

MK86 incorporates a surface-search system and an air-action system to fire either, or combined, the ship's main guns and launch missiles.

I'll be off to boot camp in just a few months in Chicago for the navy.

I plan on being a FC aswell. They kept trying to get me into the nuke program but the training sounds too stressful.

There's a lot of us that did more than "stand the watch"...nukes on the other hand do nothing but "stand the watch" lol
