I got a great deal on a Silver. So I'm assuming that the guy knew it was a Silver. The store was asking $25.00 the guy sold it to me for $20.00. It is only about 3"-3.5". I'm looking for ideas on what to start feeding him. I was going to start him out on frozen blood worm is this the right food to start with. I was aslo thinking of getting small crickets. Any ideas?

Small crickets....frozen Blood Worms and all those good stuff are good.

you should ask what the store was feeding him so you can keep him on that. my silvers are only around 7 inches or so and are eating hikari sticks

even small meal worms.. but even better if you can get him used to frozen foods..and tiny small floating pellets.. then you would not have to feed live at all.. remenber to cover tank.. and every open place cover with tape.. they can be excape experts and also jumpers... good luck with your new baby..

DAM I WISH I COULD GET ONE THAT CHEAP THERE ALWAYS 75 AND ABOVE AROUND HERE!

Wow, you gotta learn how to use the Search function man. haha i just posted an answer to this question last night.

I would just get them on Hikari Food Sticks right away. Break it in half before you give it to them at that size. I find smaller aros are easier to train on pellets, so why not start right away? = ). Once you get them on crickets its a nightmare to get them off.

feed it small worms and not too much crickets they get addicted
