1st Arowana

Buying the fish should've been the last thing to do. You should've done your homework long before you started looking...

When you see a good deal, you gotta jump on it...

And thanks for asking questions at the right place!!!

My fiance and I kept our baby on freeze-dried krill and freeze-dried baby shrimp until he was big enough to be switched over to the Hikari food sticks (we were having to rip the krill into smaller pieces for him). Even at that point we kept him on a steady diet of the Hikari Sticks supplemented with the krill. His once-weekly treat was a silverside (got them to float by sticking krill in them).

At 10 inches he got 3 feeders once every two weeks --> they were the tiny little ones that he got in one bite, so there were no half-fish still trying to swim around, that's just brutal.

Do post pictures soon of your little guy!!!

go HIKARI floating sticks straight away - if you are lucky he will take straight away (that's what happened to me anyway for all my silvers and jar)

Thanks for all the help guys. Just to let everyone know I did do reserch here on MFK & other sites before I started looking for an Aro. I was just expecting to buy 1 in the 4"-6" range somewhere on-line. A buddy of mine found this 1 for me and I went to check it out and bought it. You dont seem to find them to often in this area, and if you do they are close to $75-$100. Thanks to all again

np glad we could help you
