1st flowerhorn

ok guys, i purchased my first flowerhorn yesterday, its a white tiger, the guy told me its a rare specimen , anyone can confirm ?

Appears female with that spot on the dorsal. Nice pearls & flowerline.

ohh, so tht's why. i think those are their market names. btw, the names they gave does make sense based on their physical appearances, especially tht Green Dragon fh. lol more like an rd but is green.

Well now you just look for a male that is slightly larger then her (Males of good quality have a kok and are typically much thicker then females, not to confuse you but females of high quality can also have a kok but its usually not that large compared to the males.) Then you divide the tank in half with a drilled piece of plexi glass and put the male on one side and the female on the other. After they get used to seeing each other you put the base of a clay pot in the tank, remove the divider, and then see if they will breed for you.
