If the media stays wet whole time then there's no harm to the beneficial bacteria. Beneficial bacteria sticks onto surfaces and will adjust to the parameters as decrease with less of a food source and increase with more food. I do 85% water changes all the time and never have ammonia or nitrite go up not even by .10 ppm and thats including draining the sump. The water doesnt have to be treated with bb at all for 100% water changes, you just have to keep the filter media wet during the water change and match the temp/ph then theres no foul done to the fish or the filtration. Many members such as my self do over 75% water changes and never get a cycle.

edit typooo lol

nice explanation daniel .

Wow thats a real big difference from when you first got her. Very stocky and beefy along with bit of a kok too. looks like a straight up make now lol. Have you ever done a vent check?

ohh, so tht's why. i think those are their market names. btw, the names they gave does make sense based on their physical appearances, especially tht Green Dragon fh. lol more like an rd but:ROFL: is green.

Well kinda from what I have notice about a true white tiger it is one step under a blue diamond or thai silk except mostly wrapped head with pearls and little to no spacing inbetween pearls with a distinct flowerspot and flowerlines some white tigers are actually sold as thai silks those are the little guys that are covered in mainly pearls but with a flowerline and a flower spot on the kok and what are sold as white tigers are actually pearly zzs its all about naming a fish something that represents the best quality strain to fetch a higher price which is messed up for the avid hobbiest or breeder looking to get what they payed for you could benefit from this situation or you may not this little girl was definitely worth every penny in my opinion
