you could throw a tin can in with them and it would eat it and digest it and not have a problem. (not that I would recommend that). what are your plans for when it gets a bit of size on it?
NIce Snapper i was goning to but one 4 myself for xmas but to much of a hassel with shipping and all as in i live in chicago i have a yellow belly slider baby that i normmally kept in a 45g with a few O's but he is now in a 10g with a small O as in the other fish were bulling the fish and turtles will try and eat anything once & thats a fact.

LOL, yeah he seems to eat anything that gets too close. Though he is very relaxed when I do have to handle him.
I have him in a large hard poly container ( 18x24x12 , semi opaque) currently and have a sponge filter power head for filtration and regular water changes. I'm working on a Wet/dry filter (DIY) from a old very large broken canister filter ( I'll get some pics of that also when it's completed). When he gets big enough I'm going to go the rubbermaid stock tank.
I'm not sure he is a he yet, he's still alittle too small to tell.
Thanks Louie, The water stay pretty clean as I really try to feed him only as much as he will eat and take out the rest. Water changes are still key though. For the record my RES was WAAAAAY more messy.
