Ah excellent. I didn't see any overflows so I just assumed. I guess I thought it was just an oversized canister filter type beast.

just so i know i have the same ones as in the above sump bushfishrox has, those are the ok ones right? Yes
but ditch the flat ones i have on top? Yes
and what about the straws/bio balls? They're fine
i plan on laying the floss filter on top on the drip plate? That's fine, it makes it easier to clean the pre-filter.
btw whatever i do to these two tanks i have ALOT more to make for the rest of the room lol! OK, enough talk ...get moving!

the 18 gallon i have to fill with scrubbies that goes in the 55 is this good enough? or should i just use the 10 gallon bins?

My friend made a few for me out of a 30g and a 55g. He used martha stewart bins and they sit perfectly on the rim of the tanks.
