So It looks like Peas and Spinach were a good choice, they both appear mostly on this list. and it looks like if I add in the paprika, the vitamen drops, and liver (I wonder which animal liver would be best) than I got it all covered. Thanks for the links to the Agar and the Astaxanthin & Spirulina. The link to the FD foods is busted or a wrong link. Next round will be so much healthier. I really appreciate all this info!! I got all those links saved going to get those extra's ordered. I plan on making a more vegetarian batch for my community barb/tetra tank and for some friends with bettas and guppys.

It was 2 years ago when I made some, it looks like mreed is gone now. Agar requires you bake the food for 10-20min (I can't remember) at 200 degrees to activate the agar, then you have to score it with a knife and freeze over night on a cookie sheet. If you don't score it you'll need a chisel to break it apart when frozen. Personally I didn't like the agar's holding power. I'm not sure if liver would be a good idea.

Astaxanthin is important but I can't remember why. Be sure to add garlic, fish love it and internal parasites hate it.

Awesome. Yah that astaxanthin's powder is not too expensive nor is the spirulina powder. I will definatly be adding these and give you guys the new recipe next batch I make. Thats for the further comments on the subject. It is very interesting to see how much better of a food I can make then the staple pellets for maybe evening cheaper.

I was looking through my album and found this pic. This was with the agar binding and the reason I didn't make anymore :)
