He is being more than resonable with the price of the dog. $800 is a good price for a family pet. If he is neuterd and he signs over the papers you can still enter in comps or what not or he can just be a couch potato.
If you want the dog for a stud, $2000 is worth it cause after one litter he will pay for himself. The puppy I got a few months back would have been $500 without papers, but because I got papers with him he was $2000. It's how buisness works.
So nobody has to harass the man about the price when It's hard enough he already has to part with him.
As for me I would have taken him, but the girl friend gave me the thumbs down. Good luck finding him a new home.
