Sorry to hear that man, Dragon Aquarium in Mississauga has a few around that size encase you decide to get a replacement.

I know you dont want to do anything yet, just thought I would give you the heads up.

thats soooo bad in so many levels
a 2-3 year old aro is too personable to lose just like that
i hope you recover from your loss

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.

The same night a few hours later I discovered that my albino id shark in another tank had its eyes eaten out, then died the next day. Horrible fish day.

I gave a call around to 6 taxidermists in the area. Didn't hear what I wanted to hear. Some said that I had to do a replication instead of a skin mount, because its large scales would curl during the process and the colour would dull. But replication kind of defeats the purpose, since they destroy the original body in the molding process. I wouldn't want something that only looks like the fish. Then some others said that that's bs and other people are trying to jip my money, yet they've never heard of silver arowanas. Either way most of them range from $350-600, and have a backlog of 3-12 months...

So I guess I'll be leaving the little guy in the freezer for a while, he's already turning pinkish.
