I am going to have to agree with Vince and Joey. The fish in your pictures is definitely not a Goliath ATF. I don't know the Scientific name but the common name is a Equadorian freshwater barracuda. I think the scientific name might be Brycon Dentex? I have seen about 5-6 diff. people in the buy and sell claiming they have Goliaths for sale, but have yet to see a true Goliath.

Agreed with all the above. Sorry bro not even close to a goliath atf, let alone one of the smaller species. Could be some rare barracuda or something, but definately not any species of ATF. Sorry bro.
I think your right Jay. Wes had one of these come in his shipment of ATF's at one point I believe. Mean little bastard that was biting out the eyes of teh ATF's =-(

Alestes sp. is probably what it is, not from ecuador, but from africa, one of the smaller scale or eye biting cyprinids that come in contaminated with tigers, looks a lot like a tiger fish!

Hey R1 the lower pic looks pretty close. I contacted my supplier and he asured me it's an gatf. I may just have to grow them out a little to see. I am not trying to rip anyone off. If it is not what its suposed to be it would be great to confirm it's identity. Thanks for all input fellas. Post any new ideas if you got them.
