i think it would be too small for most killies
and pea puffers r the bomb u should do those
but out of that list
definitely a shrimp tank

dude im tellin ya...get a single Mosquitofish. tough as heck, interesting, and true "pet" status. mine take food from my hand and even tolerate some petting. also very fun to watch and feed.

I think shrimp tank with a snail is going in for the win!
I can't keep up with the messy eaters like pea puffers and mosquitofish.
I'm not that smart with inverts; any good shrimp for beginners?

red cherry shrimp

mosquitofish? messy eaters?
no way
even if they are theyre cast iron so it wont bother them
and a few snails would clean it up too :D

Cherry shrimps are a good start. They can proliferate quickly but they are undemanding and do not produce too much wastes. Just don't overfeed. This is a common mistake resulting in the deaths of the shrimps. As for snails, try nerite or assassin snails but if you want the latter, be sure to provide them meaty foods particularly bloodworms or "pest" snails.

How's this:
Live plants,
4 cherry shrimp
nerite snail

It's a good start. You'll have plenty of cherry shrimps soon but you can sell the extras or feed them to your fish.
