Was that not understood without having to say it? I honestly thought it was known without having to be pointed out.
My intention here is not to embarrass you.
I have built several aquarium stands. I have built a lot of things, and I was on the design team for some very prominent building projects.
This is one of the nicest: The Rincon towers in Frisco.
I worked in engineering for most of my 45-year employment history, and I will tell you that what you are doing is bad.
The fact that it hasn't collapsed yet means nothing.
You came here and asked for an opinion, so it seems that either you are uncertain about your structure, or you are trolling us for your own amusement.

’s youtube account where he posts videos from his fish rescue or look up “Ohio fish rescue” on youtube and find their videos. Both rescues have lots of red tail catfish since so many people don’t do their research and then that little catfish is pushing 2 feet and they can’t house them anymore.

I am in no way saying that op can not take care of the rtc. That is not my intent with my comments. My comments are geared toward giving to rtc a home that will last a bit longer than a 70 gal for an economical amount. I think it’s presumptuous to assume that he doesn’t have the means to do so.
But just in case you don’t know how to take care of the rtc

, have you read the stickies in the catfish section as to how to care for them?Ps. Hold almost everything that you hear from lfs with a grain of salt. Most will tell you what you want to hear in order to sell you a $30 fish even if it grows 4’+. “Don’t worry they only grow to the size of their tank” right??!!!
