So i have a 3 inch black and silver growing out in a divided 55.....the problem is that they can fit thru the egg crate and i have seen them both on the same side. I havent noticed any aggression......

Thoughts on if i should leave it as is and sperate both when they cant fit thru the egg crate or should i find another divider so they are sperated?

Fyi.....both are passed the yolk sac age

I wouldn't think you'd see much aggression they are just babies. I've had multiple large aros together and even added a second adult to a tank and never had an issue, maybe others have had other experiences but I've never had an aggressive black or silver

I had that issue I used poly fill since it will let the water pass.

For long term has just go to joann fabrics and get some mesh it's cheap

I have three silver arowana and two of them picked on one. All 3" as well. Almost killed him so I seperated one and kept two together. Aggression can happen at that size but if they're fine leave it as is

If you don't notice aggression I woul let them be together. If they are to eventually coexist it's good to keep them together from a young age. Add some dithers or maybe even more aro's maybe.

I hate to say it but I think petco sells a mesh divider to fit a 55g. I just go to local hardware store and get thin plexi cut to size and drill small holes in it
