I think that it will be fine if they are together, unless you start seeing aggression. Give them a chance to be together and if they become aggressive, separate them with a divider. I would not recommend using egg crate/lighting diffuser as a divider, because that can injure the fish..

Egg crate is fine ive never had problems with it hurting the fish....many people use it....you just have to make clean cuts and those cuts are top and bottom where they are covered by substrate and the tank divider.

Well the silver is too big now to fit thru but the black can barely get through.....hes been on his side tho haha


They will be eventually going in seperate tanks
