2 cichlids need ID please

well the second is a mangrove jack because my fav lfs has one in there brackish tank and there is no mistaking it if youve seen it

the first is in the same genus as the firemouth but there are many species in that genus i've seen them in all blue or yellow with blue eyes it is hard to determin the actual species but it is not meeki like a reg red firemouth
 
The first picture looks to me like Thorichthys affinis, I take my last answer back. :)
 
Thanks blacktip! I can't believe that an LFS around me has some pretty decent stuff. I usually have to drive an hour or more to see some cool fish. What would you expect to pay for a 3" mangrove jack? Wow they max out at 2-3 feet!!!

Sandtiger you might be right about the first pic. That guy is around 4-5" and no red under him at all, only a line of red on his top fin. I hope to go by there again tomorrow and take clearer pics of him to be sure of what he is.

i'm gonna say the first on is a firemouth that lost its color...and to compare i'll post a pic of my firemouth. after about a week of my oscar picking on him he lost all his color and is just now starting to get it back.
 
yeah the second is def. a mangrove jack i got some in my work a while back and they didnt do so good....some fungus was among us...
