2 different types of azul

Are there 2 different types fish locations of azul

I have seen differences in some

Firsts ones I have seen have more evenly sized stripes which are all dark

The second type I have seen have 2 larger dark stripe then smaller ghost stripes inbeten

If they are different is one more aggressive than the other and does one get bigger than the other

Azuls are azuls. They dont really vary a whole lot from area to area.
YOu may get slightly diff base colors but thats about it.

So I will just take it no one knows for sure or they have never noticed the difference

I have seen Pics of really yellow base and ones that are grey base. Haychinook had a beautiful yellow base one I think! Hope he can post it!

It's the stripes that look totally different to me

I believe that come with age/maturity.

I am unaware of different varieties of azuls but I don't know that there aren't different varieties for a fact. Of all the many that I have kept or seen have all been the same and the thickness of the stripes changes slightly with age.

Piquitti and xingu are two diff sub species of cichla.
