2 different types of Jager heaters.....

The eheim jagers are factory calibrated with an ambient temperature 24 degrees celcius. If your room temps vary from this then most likely you will need to adjust your preset temp reading to compensate.

I have been using these heaters for years both eheim and ebo and they both work fine. I think the glass is a little thicker on the ebo.

I know they are factory calibrated but i think i could have possibly messed it up when i first moved the red arrow with out knowing you could move the knob. I then tried using the knob to set the temp. I will have to try to recalibrate it tomorrow and go from there. Its my fault for not reading the directions properly. I figured hey its just a heater, who needs directions.

temp was still 80 degrees today so i did the recalibration and heater is corrected. It was only off by 4 degrees when i messed it up. Fish seem much happier and are alot more active.

Just an update on this post.

I purchased the Ebo Jager from Aquacave that is shown as the older model and was sent the newer Eheim Jager instead.

I know it is kind of a technicality but I emailed them about the issue and got a lame thank you for pointing out the issue with nothing to address the fact that I did not receive the product described or pictured. Wow not even an apology for the fact they screwed up by not updating their web page. I purchased this from them because I thought I was getting the older model. If I knew it was the newer one I would have got it on a different site for less and with free shipping to boot (since I had ordered other items from them).

So just a warning to those looking for the older model on the Aquacave website; It is not what they sell.

sorry to hear. I wouldnt be surprised if thats not the only website doing that. Wondering if any other site is actually still selling the older model or are all the sites selling the new ones?
