2 eletric yellows in 20 gallon tank.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you might get away with 3-5 julies if you pick a small species and only get 1 male. if you get multiple males get rid of all but one of them and try to get extra females to spread the aggression. the general rule with africans is 1 male for every 3 or 4 females, males of the same species kill each other in a tank that size. honestly if you want a good number of fish the shell dwellers would be a better choice since they only get about 5 cm long, you could set up a nice colony of small shell dwellers in a 20 gallon.
Maybe I could do Julies.

the thing is julies become very aggressive to anything else when they are breeding or to other males. a pair might breed in a 5 but if you want to keep more then 2 you'll need a bigger tank with lots of hiding places

i also maintain my sisters turtle tank. the turtle is happier than ever. so i am taking care of more than my fish. anyway i am willing to do hours of maintenance each week. i do about 3-4 hours of maintenance a week. the huge desise thing was really partly my fault. the guy who sold it to us sold us an overstocked tank. my dad said that it was a good stock. i did not agree. but i lisened to him. i did many large water changes. The tank was just never clean. now that my tank only has one Oscar it will probably not get desised again.

Did you personally ask this turtle?

how big of a tank is the turtle in and how big is the turtle

You need to slow down. I am glad that you are excited by keeping fish, but you are moving way too fast. Second, download firefox so you get the build in spell checker or google chrome. It is hard to understand what you are typing. If you are interested in Mbuna a 20 gallon will not work. So do not get the 20 or pick different fish. Next if you are doing 20 gallon tank research different African fish that can be kept in smaller tanks. Species only setup may be better for your plan.

:slowclap:

Well this is not my fault. i always tell my parents to upgrade to a bigger tank soon. They have it in a 30 gallon tank. We will be getting a 70 gallon tank in a couple of months. It is about 8 inches. not my fault i always tell them to upgrade SOON. We will upgrade in a couple of months. It is a male red eared slider. i clean it 3 times a week. i do 60-80 percent water changes when i do it. The turtle is not extreamly happy. Well his old owners took bad care of him. so i guess this is paradise to him.
if i were my parents i would have already upgraded. it is technically my sisters turtle. but i take care of it. My sister is younger than my though. so i do not blame her. some day i will teach her how to clean an aquarium when she is older.
