AL, I meant to say in my original post that I know which group I like better I absolutely love all these festae this is my first time keeping a group and trying to spawn them, in the past I've had a few solo specimen but always had agression issues. I once kept a male that belonged to my friend's son but had become deadly, that beauty lasted 2 days before I too had to get rid of him. Group A remains in their orginal tank and this could explain the richer colors. When Jason sent me these festae they were tiny .5" and less they grew slow but steady now they are putting away food like my old pacu, after every water change their colors and spangling becomes more beautiful. There are at least 3 pairs setting up that I can see 2 in group B 1 in group A. I have a 75 gal ready for the pair in pic 6 group B. At about 1" I realized that selling these guys would only make me jealous when I saw pics later so I decided to keep them and enjoy their life cycle from fry to adulthood. This might be the most rewarding group or fry I've ever grown out.I feel like this is a trick question. Both groups are great to me but group (A) seems to have richer colors. I tell you what, send me the ones that you like the least. Keep up the good work!
So which group is your favorite, Ira?[/QU
Al I have to give it to group B anly because the 2 biggest males which I caught at the same time are amazing, the best female is part of group A. This is the good part the males in group A were so happy to see the big guys leave that they started lip locking and posturing 2 minutes after I took them out in 7-8" of water and colored up even morer after the refill. You can see the marks around the mouths of the males mentioned. I dont have a problem changing my mind in the future I only split them up 2 days ago so we'll see how each group progresses. This is a good problem to have lol.
Anthony I hope to get a stunninig male like the one you have in your 265.I love them all and great job with these guys. Keep us posted going forward... def want to see updates.
