2 Fish Rooms in PROGRESS! fishman646's RAY PROJECT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well here are some pictures! I will update alot more often. I have 3 out of the 5 pond stands built. I also have a majority of one pond built. Tomorrow will be a huge progress day. Here is the lumber , both fish rooms before and the start to pond room #1. Everything is torn apart. It will be interesting to see the before and after photos!
I also only need a few more pieces for my filtration. I have been trying to order everything so I can get these cycled! The pond that is framed up is 10x3x2. The pond stand that are on end measure 7x5x2. I will be finishing these and build 2x 8x4x2 ponds tomorrow :headbang2

These are going to be ray ponds. I am using osb then 1inch tuff-R Foam board for insulation topped off by custom made 50mil reinforced pond liners. When I say custom I mean a company in California built the liners to the shape of the box so I dont have any ugly folds or wrinkles!

Thanks for the info but it not going to be wet and 1 inch of osb and 1 inch of foam along with 50 mil of liner in a room that is dehumidified. I think I should be fine! I have done it several times before and it has always worked out perfect!

I like the custom liner, I didn't know they were even available. I think that may be a great DIY massive fish tank. Ever try to put a viewing panel in one of your ponds? Is it possible to seal a piece of glass to the pond liner?
