2 For the price of one Marbles

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nope, she just sits there with it up, even when she's out of the current..:( She does put it down sometimes though..

Best advice would be to keep your eye one it. If it progresses it would be the "you know what' curl. Maybe that part of her disc is irritated? She may be holding it up because it is bothering her. Like everyone says, add some salt. Offer her some food and see if she takes it yet. Keep the tank as dim as possible.

Cool, thanks for the advice..

the disc lifting is not good news. but yea it might just be an irritation. as long as the full disc doesnt curl i think it should be easily fixed. just good water and not too much salt. rays are more sensitive to salt then other fish because there scaleless. good luck with the mom.

The disc lifting isn't a good sign....Mine started this 36 hours before complete curling.... Not trying to freak you out in any way, but just stating.

IF it was me, I'de lose the gravel and make sure the water is absolutly pristine, by assuming it IS bad and taking proper action (WCs).....

very nice deal, i agree keep it warm and dark for the mom.... the disk raising is not a good thing... same thing happened to my marble like db said

The back of the disk is the only part she lifts up, the rest stays down, i know she CAN put it down because she does sometimes..
Tank is dark, being it's totally covered by styro, and the front pannel is only taken off when i'm checking them out..
Water is perams are good and 80 degrees..
I was thinking of going bare bottom but if i scoop out all the gravel will my bio load crash ??? I mean i have lots of filtration and a Fluidized bed filter but just didn't know how much effect taking all the gravel out would have...
