2 male Betta splendens

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am not positive but I ve had a male betta jump from one section of hs tank into another (over tei divider) and he fought with the other on right up untill I caught them one has big red blotch on head and both no more pretty longish halfmoon looking fins, I think they woulda kept fighting if I didnt catch them It was small though, I dunno bout big tank, but I would think unless they were on two ends and did not see eachother they would fight.

Also that is a good theory also, same with africans they dont get along unless they have an equlaibrium of a certian amount, maybe bettas work like that also?

I have head of people keeping 2 or more male bettas in a 120g. As long as there are MANY hiding places, and enough room between them, they should not kill each other, but they may quarrel a little in the beginning.

But, it varies from fish to fish.

:iagree: It all depends on the fish....I would say go for it. The results could be really cool! Or maybe one betta will kill EVERYTHING and then jump, allowing you to get some monsters lol!

you know those fancy giant bamboo plants?

imma use one of those

sparse rocks and afew small pieces of driftwood

oh and black sand
Make sure to get some pictures once the fish are in together. Good luck

Dude, don't try two bettas in a 12 gallon. That's just gonna spell out disaster no matter what you do unless you have a divider in there. It doesn't matter how many plants you put in. :)
