Thanks for all the comments, yes it is used a room divider, the sand is from Marine Life, marine sand, safe for fresh and saltwater. It has no buffering qualities. That is why I got it, no salt and no pH spike. Still at 6.8, only used 35 lbs. in a 260 with a 75g sump so figure it was safe. I have not seen any fish being eaten, even had a tetra which was dying and have a hard time swimming, go under a ray, eat took it in mouth and spit it out. Never thought I would see that, fed her and she ate pellets within 2 minutes of that incident. Maybe I will get the rays that do not eat fish and can house them with tetras. I figured they would be food but look good until then, now the tank is bangin. I noticed an eel in my tank, I got from my LFS 2 months ago before rays were put in, I thought the Jardini had eaten them, when I get a picture I will be asking about ID, does anyone know of problems with stingrays and eels.
